PEOPLE AT FERRYHAWK

Welcome to the team, Meri

We’re excited to welcome Meri Rigby to FerryHawk. Meri has spent 12 years working in the ferry industry selling IT solutions to ferry operators worldwide. Meri joins the team at an exciting time, with new Customer launches underway and continued development across the platform.

GO-LIVE UPDATE

Two more operators are now live

Amity Trader

Amity Trader runs the hourly link between Victoria Point and Coochiemudlo Island, carrying residents and visitors across the bay every day of the year. It’s a service the island genuinely depends on, and until now it ran largely on paper.

We’re proud to be working with a local Brisbane business to bring that online. Bookings and passenger records now sit in one system, giving the team a clear view of every sailing and giving customers a straightforward way to apply for resident status, book & manage their bookings.

Magnetic Island Ferries

Magnetic Island Ferries went live on 1 July — a new financial year and a fresh start on a fully digital platform.

Passenger, vehicle and freight customers can now book and manage their own travel online, including heavy vehicle operators booking to the specific mass and dimension limits of each sailing. Everything is visible in one place: what’s booked, what capacity remains, and what’s coming. Digital travel passes and integrated reporting round out the platform, giving the operator real-time visibility across the service.

FEATURES AND CAPABILITIES

Upcoming – Automated loading

Many operators find it hard to automate processes such as check-in and loading, as they don’t own or operate their port or terminal, so can’t install hardware. FerryHawk is testing ANPR cameras mounted on the vessel, for automated loading of passenger vehicles and and freight in our FerryHawk Booking System.

FerryHawk is unique in that we also have our own ferry operation – Moreton Island Adventures – where we can trial a proof of concept before releasing it onto the platform. We’ll let you know how automated loading goes in a couple of months.
